Understanding Procrastination
Procrastination
Have you ever put off doing something that you knew you needed to do?
You are not alone.
It is not unusual for some people to put things off occasionally. For others, postponing tasks (procrastination) is almost a life choice, regardless of the consequences.
41% of Americans make New Year’s resolutions, but only 9% are successful in keeping them?
Only 22% are successful at keeping their New Year’s resolutions.
That is a 78% failure rate!
A major contributor to this failure rate is postponing necessary actions to meet our goals -- aka procrastination!
This workshop will present the following:
What procrastination is.
The potential costs and harm in postponing.
Why some people continue to procrastinate despite the potential costs?
Some strategies to help avoid procrastination in the future.
Attendees will learn why some people may procrastinate and several techniques to overcome that procrastination. They will also learn, from examples, that procrastination is not a barrier to great achievements and success.
