I am a recovering Engineer! 😂😂😂

What does that mean?

Well, Engineers typically have certain characteristics. These include at least one of the following:

• Problem solver

• Analytical

• Detail oriented

• Finding ways to improve existing products or systems

• Developing new, improved products or systems

• Nit picky

• Etc.

  
  

So, why do I say, “recovering Engineer?”

When an Engineer stops doing engineering work, they do not lose those characteristics. The mindset is still there. It is a part of them. They simply apply those characteristics to other pursuits.

As for me, I switched to doing training, education, and coaching in “Soft Skills.”

Now, instead of improving products and systems, I attempt to help people by teaching them how to understand themselves and others.
