Difficult People

It might be nice, although unrealistic, to expect everybody we meet and interact with will be pleasant, easy to deal with, and get along with. However, it would also make life very boring.

​

Like many things in life, there’s good news, and there’s bad news.

 

The good news is that there are “difficult people” to help keep life from being boring.

 

The bad news is that we still must deal with and get along with these “difficult people” who make life less boring. And we must continue to effectively conduct our daily activities, both personal and professional.

 

This Difficult People workshop consists of

1. Part 1: Introduction to Difficult People

2. Part 2: Dealing with Difficult People.

Either Part 1 or Part 2 may be provided as a “stand-alone” workshop or as a two-part workshop "package" (recommended).

Part 1: Introduction

 

In this workshop, we will discuss:

1. Characteristics of “Difficult People”

2. Impacts of “Difficult People”

3. Tactics for Working with “Difficult People”

4. How to De-stress after dealing with “Difficult People.”

Part 2: Dealing with Difficult People

​

This workshop follows up on Part 1: Introduction to Difficult People workshop. We will build upon what we previously learned about Difficult People. We will suggest and practice some methods of getting along with the difficult people you may have to deal with.

Participants will:

1. Participate in quizzes to test the practical application of Difficult People knowledge.

2. Evaluate case studies in dealing with Difficult People

3. Participate in group activities to reinforce their learning of dealing with Difficult People
